Does a customer already need to be using SAP?

No. Axians supports both existing SAP customers on their way to a modern S/4HANA landscape (brownfield / RISE with SAP) and organizations that want to newly implement SAP (greenfield / GROW with SAP). Both paths are proven for defence and aerospace customers – the starting point determines the path, not the goal. 

Rollouts and migration projects typically 6 to 12 months. The Axians Discovery Assessment creates the transparency that is necessary in a defence context before any engagement. 

Can Axians take over and operate existing SAP systems long term?

Yes. As an SAP Partner Center of Expertise (PCoE), Axians offers full SAP Application Management Support (AMS), basis operations, license management and ongoing system optimization from a single source – also for existing customer systems without a prior implementation project. For defence customers, this means: a reliable, long-term operating partner with European governance and deep SAP know-how. 

How does Axians handle data protection and GDPR?

As part of the VINCI Group, Axians is fully subject to European data protection law. On request, SAP systems are operated exclusively in European data centers – no data transfer to third countries. For customers with elevated protection needs, Axians recommends dedicated private cloud or on-premises architectures. Which protection requirement classes can be specifically covered is assessed individually in the Discovery Assessment.
